Okay... I haven't done this in a while, and because I'm particularly annoyed right now, and because I need to vent, I will do this again.
One of the things that really annoys me is when people ask for favors, then demand that they be done whenever they ask. I'm a fairly nice person. I like helping people out amongst other things. But when you ask me for a favor, and it's something I'll be doing anyway, you do it when I plan on doing it. End of story.
So here's what happened:
A friend asked for a ride home. No problem, I have to go home anyway.
They ask when I'm going home. "Sometime after my class gets out." (Anytime after 11:20am.)
At 11:20am: "Are you leaving yet?" "No." "Well, don't, because I have a bunch of stuff to do right now." "Fine. I have a headache anyway."
At 12:30pm: "Can we leave already?"
Really? Really?? You're going to ask me for a favor, something I don't have to be doing, then you're going to have the audacity to demand I do it to fit your schedule? I don't think so.
I find that this behavior is particularly rude. On top that, my headache had only worsened since it started, but you're still going to be insensitive about it, open the windows while I'm driving (which only makes it worse), and then act like there's something wrong with me when I don't want to talk?
Pardon me, for thinking that's rude, but it's extremely annoying and inconvienent, and pain-inducing. Allow me to never allow you a ride home again, thank you very much. I'll be entirely fine, and not lose one blink of sleep over it.
